It’s the beginning of the year and we have our 2017 goals, right (I refuse to call them resolutions)? Right. Now, we know usually resolutions are given up on within the first week. How do we not do that? Motivation is a good thing, but we also can ensure our success by tracking our progress.
Involvement!
Get your friends involved! Are you trying to finish a novel? Get some people to read it. If they like it (I know this from experience), they will hound you to write more. Do that with everything. Post on Facebook/social media all your achievements, or where you’re going with your goals. Get everyone you can involved; mostly likely, they’ll help you and remind you to do what you need to do.
Lists!
At the end of every week look back at your goals and write a list of what you’ve done to work closer to those goals or to achieve them. It’s okay if you haven’t worked toward every single one, but they all must be worked toward by the end of two weeks. If you’ve been busy though, don’t worry. Life does happen.
Not good at remembering things? Can’t even remember what you had for dinner? Well, scribble down every time you do something during the week. I wanna touch my toes, so every time I do a stretching/flexible SworkIt, I’ll scribble it down and add up the time at the end of the week.
Put a list on your wall of major things I’ve done to achieve my goals. Scribble something on there when you’ve made it. Wanted to read the whole Bible? Did you just finish Psalms? Make sure you mark it down!
Film!
Trying to learn to jazz dance? Touch your toes? Film yourself doing so! If you keep filming yourself every week and keep up with learning and practicing, then you can watch each video and see your improvement. Seeing your improvement will inspire you to do better!
Hope you enjoyed and hope this will help you! Have any suggestions? Make sure you comment below!
